The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (Q.) trading as The Lakes College has established a College Board responsible for effective governance of The Lakes College.

Mike Millard retired in 2008 after serving 19 years as a principal in two schools, Calvary Christian College and Leighland Christian School. He is a member of the Uniting Church Schools' Commission and he also chairs the Education and Building Committee of the Queensland Independent Schools Block Grant Authority. He has served on the board of Moreton Bay Boys' College for three years and currently chairs the board of The Lakes College. Mike is a member of Bayside Uniting Church. Away from school activities Mike is a keen golfer and enjoys tinkering with an old sports car
Dayrelle Abbey has over 30 years experience in education as teacher, curriculum and assessment manager, especially senior secondary, and education administrator. She currently works for the Queensland Studies Authority, the P-12 currriculum and assessment body for the state of Queensland. She has served on the board of The Lakes College since 2008. Dayrelle is a member of Broadwater Uniting Church. Away from work activities she enjoys travel, ballet and good literature.
Andrew Aitken is an electrical engineer with over 20 years experience in the building and construction industry. He is an expert in green buildings and sustainable development with specific experience ranging from passive design strategies, healthy indoor environments to renewable energy systems. Andrew co-chairs the World Green Building Council working group on Common Carbon Metrics and sits on many Commonwealth government panels and reference groups advising on energy efficiency in the built environment. Andrew is a foundation parent of The Lakes College. His oldest son was one of the first cohort of students in 2005. He was the foundation president of The Lakes College Parents and Friends' Association and served in that role until he was appointed to the Board of The Lakes College in November 2008. Andrew has three sons, all of whom are students at The Lakes College. Along with his wife Tracey and sons, Andrew is an avid football fan. He plays in the TLC United over 35's team with other parents, teachers and friends.
Melinda is a Strategic Financial Planner with JBWere specialising in advice on structuring, financial and investment strategies, tax planning and various other strategic issues. Prior to this Melinda held positions with Macquarie Bank and Citigroup. During Melinda's 12 years in financial services she has gained valuable experience in finance, business and risk management and human resources. Melinda joined the TLC Board in January 2010 to complement the extensive and diverse skills of the existing members. Outside of work and board commitments Melinda is focused on completing her Masters in Taxation.
Scott Johnston is Operations Manager at ABB Australia and has over ten years senior management experience in businesses ranging from small start-up operations to multinational organisations. His qualifications in engineering and business have been complemented by roles providing broad exposure to all aspects of business management including finance, HR, strategic planning, business systems development and general operations. Scott's two daughters have attended The Lakes College since 2006 and his wife is a member of the teaching staff. In his spare time he has been actively involved in the life of the college including the roles of Parents & Friends' Association Vice President - Fundraising (2006 - 2008), Event Director of The Lakes College Fun Run (2007 - present) and TLCCA Trivia Quizmaster (2006 - present). Scott was appointed to the Board of The Lakes College in November 2008.
Craig Mercer is a town planner of approximately 24 years experience and the co-owner of a boutique town planning, architectural and project management consultancy business. He has worked extensively throughout Queensland and Northern New South Wales, and consulted on projects in South East Asia and the Middle East. He is also an Adjunct Professor to the Hotel, Resort and Tourism Management School of Bond University, and a member of the Uniting Church in Australia (Qld Synod) Property Consultant Reference Group. In his spare time Craig manages his son’s AFL Football Team. He is a Church Elder and member of Indooroopilly Uniting Church, and co-coordinator of its Sunday School program.

Aubrey Swift is a consultant in the aviation sector. Previously he worked for British Airways and Virgin Blue with over 10 years experience in executive roles. This has covered a range of responsibilities and activity in the areas of product, sales, operations and finance. One key aspect of his leadership experience is in organisation and people development. Aubrey has three young children. He is a memeber of Bulimba Uniting Church, and keen on cycling and swimming.
