Welcome to The Lakes College

As part of our commitment to families, The Lakes College provides quality care for all students of all year levels, before and after normal school hours, and in vacation periods. Parents are encouraged to enrol in the College Care Program at the time students commence with the College. Families attending College Care are eligible to receive the Childcare Benefit Rebate.  Information is available from the service or Centrelink.

During school terms, College Care is open from 6:30am until 8:30am for Before College Care and from 3.00pm until 6.30pm for After College Care. During Vacation Care we are open from 7:00am to 6:00pm.

Underlying our philosophy at College Care is that it is a ‘home away from home’ for children.  Children who attend College Care are looked after by caring, motivated and nurturing staff that provide a warm environment for all children who walk through the doors.

The College Care program provides activities to cater for many different interests and aims of children to develop their skills in the areas of:

• Art and Craft
• Music and Movement
• Construction
• Literature
• Science
• Games
• Cooking
• Outdoor Activities

College Care also provides quiet, homework time and plentiful opportunities for the children to play and interact with each other in a non-structured environment.
