Welcome to The Lakes College

Technology is integral to the life and work of the College. Each classroom is equipped with five computers and a Promethean Interactive Whiteboard and each staff is issued with a laptop. A laptop program is in place for all students in Year 7 and beyond.  We also have a full computer lab in our new Resource Centre and a multi-media room that allows a robotics program and the secondary music program, both dependent on technology.

The technology program is managed by a dedicated team of staff including the full time Information Technology Manager. The team meet regularly to ensure implementation of our Technology Plan and the successful roll out of new hardware and software, with staff training provided on a regular basis. All staff have completed certified courses on Promethean Interactive Whiteboards to ensure full integration into the teaching and learning process.

The online portal for students supports them in their learning and enables secondary students to manage homework, assessments and study. The parent portal enables electronic access to all information communicated to parents.
