We faithfully invite candidates to apply for the role of Chinese Language Teacher (Primary and Junior Secondary) commencing in 2026. This will be a permanent full-time appointment. Currently (0.7 FTE Primary) and (0.3FTE Junior Secondary).

Responsible to the Head of Primary, you will act under the direction of the Deputy Head of Primary and Head of Faculty English and Languages (Secondary), developing and delivering a contemporary, innovative curriculum which is underpinned by clear expectations about high quality learning outcomes in a culturally diverse society.

You will actively engage with and contribute to the College Language Program, enabling all students to engage in the learning of a language in addition to English through considered learner group pathways for second language learners, background language learners and first language learners.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Primary and Junior Secondary Chinese Language Teacher.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering second language, background language and first language learner pathways.
  • Current tertiary qualifications as specific to the role.
  • Current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
  • Commitment to the Uniting Church ethos and an inclusive College community.
