Vocational Teacher Aide Placements
The Lakes College will not be taking on any vocational placements until Semester 2 of 2022.
Candidates enrolled to study a Certificate III in Educational Support can apply for a Vocational Teacher Aide placement at any time during the year, however applications are pooled for consideration as part of two block placements per year.
Block placement one covers Term 1 & 2 and Block placement 2 covers Term 3 & 4.
Places are limited, and successful candidates must be prepared to work across both the Primary and Secondary schools. A vocational placement with the College does not guarantee employment with the College on completion of your course.

EAL/D Mentor Teacher (7-12)
We invite candidates to apply for the position of EAL/D Mentor Teacher (7-12). This will be a permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) role commencing in January 2026.
As an EAL/D Mentor Teacher, you will aspire to develop the capabilities of our ‘Lakes Learners’ with the passion and drive to generate knowledge, spark curiosity, build character and promote connection within our inclusive College Community.
Responsible to the Head of Secondary, you will develop, coordinate, and deliver a culturally appropriate individualised English language program to support and progress students through the NLLIA ESL Bandscales.
You will also be tasked with the caseload management for the EAL/D student cohort across the Secondary School.
Candidates must hold a current TESOL and ESL Bandscale qualifications or be working towards the attainment of one.

Teacher Librarian
We invite candidates with a strong ‘primary’ focus to their professional practice, to join our team as a Teacher Librarian. This will be a permanent full-time role commencing in January 2026.
Responsible to the Head of Library, you will be an advocate for the library as an evolutionary environment that is the educational heart of the college.
As Teacher Librarian, you will be a passionate and innovative Educator who thrives on fostering a love of literature, inquiry, and lifelong learning in young students.
You will also support and promote the library as an inclusive space that promotes literacy and integrates technology to enhance student engagement and provides a safe place and space that enriches the student experience.
Candidates must have current QCT Registration and a post-graduate level qualification of Library and Information Services, Teacher Librarian or equivalent (or be working towards the attainment of the latter).

Physics Teacher
We are seeking to engage a dynamic Physics Teacher to commence in January 2026. This will be a full-time, fixed term contract to meet leave commitments across the College.
Candidates with previous experience teaching Senior Physics in the QCAA system and ACARA General Sciences will be considered favorably.

Responsible to the Head of Secondary, you will act under the direction of the curriculum Heads of Faculty, developing and delivering a contemporary, innovative curriculum innovative curriculum which is underpinned by clear expectations and high-quality learning outcomes.
As a Physics Teacher, you will provide students with an opportunity to systematically explore the universe and its constituents - matter, energy, space and time - and the fundamental forces that govern their interactions.
As the foundation upon which all other sciences and technologies have advanced, you will take out students on a journey to understand intuitively how the world works, using qualitative and quantitively models and theories to visualise, explain and predict physical phenomena.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their understanding of the relevant QCAA and ACARA curriculum and how they can apply it in a contemporary educational setting, while also catering to the learning needs of their students.

ABOUT THE ROLE
At TLC, we provide our students with the opportunity to play a variety of sports in a healthy, respectful, safe, and competitive environment. The College’s curriculum has been carefully designed to cater for and be inclusive of all students in both an academic and sporting sense.
As such we are seeking experienced, passionate and accredited Sport Coaches to support the following disciplines and areas.
- Football (Soccer) | Minimum Football Australia C Licence

Candidates must also be available to support the following coaching days and times during the school year:

- Friday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm (2 hours)
Additional hours and opportunities will be available to suitable candidates such as attending sporting events and competitions and delivering additional programs and sessions.

Your stewardship of the College will be central in maintaining the hygiene and appearance of the College facilities, as well as providing support for other essential services and functional areas across the College.
Candidates must be physical fit with an understanding of work health and safety and manual handling protocols.
As a permanent part time Property Services Officer (Cleaner) some flexibility may be required to help manage the demands of the Property Services Team, within a busy educational setting.

TLC Learn to Swim (TLC Learn to Swim - Swim Club) are currently seeking passionate and adaptable Swim Teachers (experienced and trainees) to join their team and support a new, innovative approach to swim education.
