Vocational Teacher Aide Placements
The Lakes College will not be taking on any vocational placements until Semester 2 of 2022.
Candidates enrolled to study a Certificate III in Educational Support can apply for a Vocational Teacher Aide placement at any time during the year, however applications are pooled for consideration as part of two block placements per year.
Block placement one covers Term 1 & 2 and Block placement 2 covers Term 3 & 4.
Places are limited, and successful candidates must be prepared to work across both the Primary and Secondary schools. A vocational placement with the College does not guarantee employment with the College on completion of your course.

Primary Sport Coordinator (HPE Teacher)
The role of Primary Sport Coordinator is a position of added responsibility at The Lakes College.
As such the successful candidate will be able to explore and enhance their educational leadership experience through a role of substance and influence within our thriving and inclusive College Community.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Primary, the Primary Sport Coordinator will support the Primary Leadership Team and the Director of Sport and Activities in the management and promotion of the Primary School’s co-curricular and sporting programs.
As the Primary HPE Teacher you will deliver a sequenced - Foundation to Year 6 - HPE Curriculum Program to students in the sub school, as well as mentoring and support for Classroom Teachers in their delivering of an age-appropriate sports program that aligns with the HPE curriculum.
HOW TO APPLY

Finance Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Finance Manager your stewardship of the College will see you providing effective support to the College Executive and College Community through the preparation, audit and analysis of accounts, annual reports and financial statements and the provision of timely and accurate information and advice for planning and decision making on financial legislation and regulations.
The Finance Manager is responsible for financial services including payroll, budget management, general ledger integrity and financial reporting.
Candidates for this role must have a CPA or CA qualification and | or at least 5 years’ experience in a financial management role.

Wellness Officer (First Aid)
This is a 39-week permanent term time role, with the successful candidate required to work Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm to meet the needs of students in our thriving Prep to Year 12 College.
The successful candidate will also be available to work an extended day from 8.00 am and 3.30 pm where the College needs to provide relief in the absence of the College Nurse.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Wellness Officer (First Aid) role sits within the Student Network of Care team and assists the College Nurse in supporting the healthcare needs of students at the College.
As a member of a Student Network of Care team, the Wellness Officer (First Aid) works collaboratively with team members to ensure effective and efficient administration of first aid services across both the Primary and Secondary schools as well as when attending camps, excursions and other events.
The Wellness Officer (First Aid) ensures the Wellness Centre is a welcoming, supportive, effective, and efficient environment for students, staff, and visitors ensuring that student records remain confidential.
Although not essential, candidates who are available to travel to support overnight school camps will be considered favourably.

Working under the general direction of the Director of Property Services you will support the operational requirements of the College through your stewardship of our many and varied places and spaces.
As a Property Services Maintenance Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the daily work organisation of job tasks scheduled through Spiceworks, ensuring property service and maintenance functions across the College are completed in accordance with existing frameworks, procedures, and budget, and to a high standard.
Candidates must be physically fit to meet the inherent to this position which includes the manual handling of goods and deliveries, safely handle organic and chemical pesticides and sprays, undertaking general building and grounds maintenance, operating plant, machinery and equipment, and legally operating a motor vehicle as regular and routine tasks for the Property Services Maintenance Lead.
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, although some flexibility may be required around these start and finish times to help manage the demands of the Property Services Team, within a busy educational setting.
Whilst trade qualifications are not required, the successful candidates must be able to troubleshoot and attend to basis maintenance requests.
Candidates for this role must address the following selection criteria:
- Demonstrated practical experience with regards to site and facilities maintenance and a variety of labouring activities
- Experience with diagnostic fault finding and ability to troubleshoot quickly to keep the plant running at optimum levels.
- Competencies and knowledge around tool maintenance and the completion of minor works.
- Demonstrated experience supporting workplace health, safety and the environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and planning and scheduling skills, with strong stakeholder management.
