Vocational Teacher Aide Placements
The Lakes College will not be taking on any vocational placements until Semester 2 of 2022.
Candidates enrolled to study a Certificate III in Educational Support can apply for a Vocational Teacher Aide placement at any time during the year, however applications are pooled for consideration as part of two block placements per year.
Block placement one covers Term 1 & 2 and Block placement 2 covers Term 3 & 4.
Places are limited, and successful candidates must be prepared to work across both the Primary and Secondary schools. A vocational placement with the College does not guarantee employment with the College on completion of your course.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an important leadership role within the Property Services Team, you will provide training and supervision to the cleaning staff, manage inventory and the procurement of cleaning supplies, and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across the College facilities.
As a full time Property Services Supervisor (Cleaning) some flexibility may be required to help manage the demands of the Property Services Team, within a busy educational setting.

ICT Officer
This is a permanent full-time role with the College.
As our ICT Officer you will provide high-level ICT technical expertise, support and administration, working closely with the ICT Manager to develop and maintain the College’s cyber security posture.

College Counsellor (Part Time Cover Contract)
ABOUT THE ROLE
As College Counsellor you are responsible to the College Executive for the provision of educational assessments and counselling services to the student body as well as staff and community development and literacy.
This role is an exceptional opportunity for an aspirant Child and Adolescent Psychologist to work collaboratively within an inclusive College community to address the barriers to learning for children and young people, improving their educational outcomes and achievements, and social and emotional wellbeing.
The successful candidate must be available to work two (2) days per week (Tuesday and Friday preferred but negotiable) from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm with a particular focus to meeting the needs of students within the primary sub school.

- Current registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency – AHPRA).

Sport Coordinator
This appointment will be a permanent term-time role for an immediate start.
Relationships, culture, and heart matter every day at The Lakes College. As such we are looking to engage a passionate and relational Sport Coordinator to provide detailed timely and efficient administrative support to the Director of Sport and Activities in the development, delivery and promotion of the College sports program. Inclusive of the position will be the coordination of several sports and carnivals across the school year and the provisions of sport coaching as required.
As Sport Coordinator you will play a key role in the development of sport at the College. As a relational team member, you will have excellent people skills, as well as a strong sporting background across a range of sports, coaching qualifications, and a passion for the role of sport in the life of young people.
The position is a non-teaching role however the Sport Coordinator will be available to work alongside teachers to deliver core skills sessions in the Primary sub school and development sessions in the Secondary sub school.
As a full time, term time role, some flexibility may be required to manage the demands of the TLC Sport Program alongside the curriculum and educational needs of the College.
Candidates for this role must address the following selection criteria:
- Previous experience as a Sport Administrator, supporting the day-to-day operations of a multi-faceted sports program.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, enabling you to engage with internal and external stakeholders in a relational manner to resolve issues and respond to questions.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, in support of event planning, calendar management, and resource allocation within a fast-paced education and care setting.
- Demonstrated ability to use technology tasks (i.e. Microsoft Program such as Word, Excel, Outlook, publisher, Teams and OneNote) to perform daily tasks. Previous experience using TASS and SEQTA is desirable.
- Knowledge of NISSA (Northern Independent Schools Sporting Association) and BOSL (Brisbane Outer Schools League) or a similar sporting association is desirable.
- Proven success coordinating and managing the deployment and performance of coaching and related Sport staff.
- Ability to display discretion, confidentiality, honesty and integrity in their relationships with the differing sectors of the College and wider community.
