Scholarships

At TLC we are committed to the journey, growing young adults who graduate with qualifications, global understanding and the interpersonal skills that establish them as FUTURE ready.

Our TLC Scholarship program is designed to identify and celebrate students in Years 7-11 who have strengths and expertise in a variety of areas, giving opportunity for young people to be part of a learning community that fosters Belonging, Believing and Becoming.

Belonging Scholarships | Year 7 - 11

Our Belonging Scholarships are available to prospective students who identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person (Indigenous Australian) and who desire a Secondary School education at The Lakes College. Indigenous Student Scholarships are awarded based on submission of an application and an interview with the Principal. Indigenous Student Scholarships are set for 3 years and remain subject to an annual review. A further extension of the initial scholarship period may be provisioned if determined appropriate.

Believing Scholarships | Year 7 - 11

Our Believing Scholarships are awarded to current students who continue to serve faithfully within and on behalf of The Lakes College. They are students who seek to be ‘Salt and Light’ (Matthew 5:13-16) in all they do, growing and sharing their strengths and gifts in service, for the benefit of others.

Becoming Scholarships | Year 7 - 11

Our Becoming Scholarships are awarded based on outstanding results achieved in scholarship testing, previous academic records and an interview with the Principal or Head of School. Academic Scholarships are set for 3 years and remain subject to an annual review.

The Scholarship test for Academic Scholarships commencing in 2025 have now closed. Information regarding our 2026 Academic Scholarships will be communicated to families at the beginning of 2025.

Beyond Scholarships | Year 7 - 11

Our Beyond Scholarships are available to prospective students who demonstrate the qualities, potential and commitment to excel in extra-curricular. These activities and programs predominantly focus on the areas of Dance, Drama, Sport, Technology, Music and Visual Arts and are designed to help our students achieve their dreams, fulfil their passions, reach their potential and in some cases make an impact in the lives of others.
