Scholarships

Academic Scholarships

Registrations for Academic Scholarships for 2021 have now closed. Registrations for Academic Scholarships for 2022 will open in November 2020.

Academic Scholarships provide a remission of tuition fees commencing in Years 6 - 12 in 2022 and are subject to an annual review.

Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of outstanding results achieved in scholarship testing, previous academic records and an interview with the Principal or Head of School. Students entering Year 5 - Year 11 in 2022 can apply to sit for the Edutest Scholarship test, being held on a date to be confirmed in 2021.

Performance Scholarships

Applications for Performance Scholarships are open for students entering Years 8-12 in 2021. Applications will close Thursday 17 September 2020.

Our Performance Scholarships are designed to identify and celebrate students who demonstrate the qualities, potential and leadership to make a significant contribution to our College. We are committed to supporting outstanding students from our local community who have strengths in a variety of areas, as determined by sport, cultural, service and commitment to their current school community.

Year 6 School Leader Scholarships

Applications for 2021 will open shortly. School Leader Scholarships are offered to outstanding Year 6 School Leaders currently not enrolled at The Lakes College and provides them with a reduction on tuition fees for Year 7.

Music Scholarships

Music Scholarship Applications for 2021 are open and will close on 14 August 2020. Application forms can be found HERE.

Criteria

Students of exceptional musical ability in one or more areas of vocal or instrumental performance. These students will be cultural leaders of the TLC music programs, providing examples of excellence to the TLC community.

Guide to ability levels:

Years 3-4: AMEB Grade 2 (or equivalent) in area of specialty

Years 5-6: AMEB Grade 4 (or equivalent) in area of specialty

Years 7-12: AMEB Grade 5 (or equivalent) or above in area of speciality

Expectations:

- Actively enrolled in Private tuition (TLC Music Studio or approved external teacher)

- Participation in at least one approved extra-curricular music ensemble or choir (appropriate to area of speciality)

- Perform as a soloist or in a small ensemble at College functions and events if required

- Secondary students – take Music as an Elective

- Support the ethos and values of the College

Applicants will be required to submit a video submission with their application. Shortlisted applicants will complete an audition and scholarship interview.

Dance Scholarships

Applications for 2021 will open on 20 July 2020.

Dance Scholarship Applications for 2021 are open and will close on 15 August 2020 with auditions for shortlisted candidates on 22 August 2020. . Application forms can be found HERE.

Dance Scholarships are awarded to dancers who through their talent have achieved a high level of success. Shortlisted applicants will complete an audition and scholarship interview. Scholarship recipients are expected to be actively involved in the school community, and represent the school in activities as required.
