Academic Scholarships

The Lakes College offers Academic scholarships based on a student’s achievement in a Scholarship Examination run each March by Edutest.

Academic scholarships may be awarded to students entering Year 7 and 10. Scholarships attract up to a 50% reduction on tuition fees for the duration of the student’s Middle (Year 7 Scholarship) or Senior (Year 10 Scholarship) schooling and are awarded on the basis of the examination results and at the Principal’s discretion. Scholarship tests are open to all students (current and external) enrolled in Year 6 and Year 9 for 2020.

Year 6 School Leader Scholarships

Is your child a Year 6 School Leader and not currently enrolled at The Lakes College? They may be eligible for a School Leader Scholarship. School Leader Scholarships are offered to outstanding Year 6 School Leaders and provides them with a reduction on tuition fees for Year 7. Please note that School Leaders Scholarships for 2019 entry have now closed.

Music Scholarships

In 2019 Music Scholarships will be awarded to students who display outstanding musical talent, and a firm commitment to ongoing participation in the College's Music program. In allocating the scholarships the College will assess not only the individual applicant's special talent, but also the student's potential contribution to the balance of groups and ensembles within the College Music program. The music scholarship will be current for 12 months and is open to all students currently in Years 4-11. Applications for 2019 Music Scholarships have now closed.

Dance Scholarships

The Lakes College is proud to announce the introduction of Dance Scholarships in 2019. Dance Scholarships will be awarded to students who display outstanding dance talent in at least one genre. Recipients of a Dance Scholarship must demonstrate an ongoing and strong commitment to the Dance program through participation in The Lakes College Dance Troupe and competitive teams. Interested applicants are invited to download and complete an application form here.

Applications are open to all students entering Year 7-12 in 2019 and will close on Monday 24 September 2018. Applications are to be emailed to dance@thelakes.qld.edu.au.
