Learning Assistant (Library Services)

We invite candidates to apply for the position of Learning Assistant (Library Services). This will be a permanent part-time role commencing in January 2026, 28.5 hours per week across a 39-week term time.

As a Learning Assistant (Library Services), you will play a key role in supporting student learning and literacy development through library engagement and promoting a love of literature. You will contribute to the College’s strategic vision through our pillars of Learning, Mission and Service, Wellbeing, Pathways, and Growth.

This role will involve:

  • Supporting students in accessing and engaging with library resources
  • Maintaining library systems including cataloguing, shelving, and stock management
  • Promoting a love of reading and learning across the College
  • Providing continuity and consistency in student support through informed, purpose-driven practices
  • Enhancing the digital and information literacy of the College community

  • A passion for literacy, learning, and working with young people
  • Experience in a library, educational, or student support setting (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A commitment to inclusive education and community connection
  • Willingness to support the College’s Christian ethos and values
