We invite candidates to apply for the position of Learning Assistant in the following two roles.
- One role is a fixed term cover contract working 5 days per week for Term 1 only (11-weeks).
- The other role is a permanent part-time appointment working 3 days per week across a 39-week term time.
As a Learning Assistant, you will aspire to develop the capabilities of our ‘Lakes Learners’ with the passion and drive to generate knowledge, spark curiosity, build character and promote connection within our inclusive College Community.
Responsible to the Head of Primary, you play an important role contributing to the College’s aims and philosophy of developing and delivering a contemporary, innovative curriculum.
As a Learning Assistant, you will be influential and impactful in your assistance and support of positive learning outcomes for our students through evidence-based interventions. You will provide continuity and consistency to the way the College contributes to the learning outcomes of our students through informed and data driven decision making.
The successful candidates must have previous experience supporting a differentiated approach to the needs of students through classroom instruction and intervention that both supports and stretches our Primary students in Years Prep to 6.
You will need to hold a current PAID Working with Children Card (Blue Card). Candidates with a Certificate or Diploma in Education Support will be considered favourably.
