The role of Primary Sport Coordinator is a position of added responsibility at The Lakes College.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Primary, the Primary Sport Coordinator will support the Primary Leadership Team and the Director of Sport and Activities in the management and promotion of the Primary School’s co-curricular and sporting programs.
As the Primary HPE Teacher you will deliver a sequenced - Foundation to Year 6 - HPE Curriculum Program to students in the sub school, as well as mentoring and support for Classroom Teachers in their delivering of an age-appropriate sports program that aligns with the HPE curriculum.
HOW TO APPLY
In addition to a detailed resume and copies of your formal qualifications as specific to the role, candidates must also address the following selection criteria in their covering letter.
- Current QCT Registration or eligibility to be registered as a Teacher in Queensland.
- Current and detailed knowledge of the HPE curriculum (Foundation to Year 6) and a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in managing curriculum issues and programs.
- Ability to design and implement a range of teaching and learning strategies to establish and maintain an inclusive educational environment to meet the different learning needs of students.
- Previous experience in the coordination of large sporting events and carnival within a school setting.
- Ability to work productively and effectively with the Primary Leadership Team and Director of Sport and Activities in achieving shared goals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create and maintain positive relationships based on respect and trust with students, families, colleagues and the wider school community.
