New students only in Prep - Year 6 and students that were absent on the last day of Term 4 are invited to meet their teacher on Friday 20 January: 11am - 12noon.

Welcome to the 2023 school year! To ensure a smooth start to your first week back, please find below some information.
To provide a strong, supportive start for our students, we have staggered the starting times for students in 2023.
Year 7 - 12 students can collect their laptop at any of the following times:
Year 4-6 students will receive their laptop in the first week of Term 1. These laptops will stay at school for the beginning of the year as students complete their Digital License.
Year 7 - 12 students can collect their textbooks at any of the following times:

Prep - Year 6 students will receive their bookpacks from their teachers in the first week of Term 1.
Parents and Carers have access to two Parent Portals that are listed below:
Both portals are password protected, our Primary and Secondary Office will send login details to new families when staff have returned in the week commencing 16 January.

In 2022 the College moved away from Flexischools for buses, which triggered an internal review of Flexischools use within the Café. From 2023, the Café will be utilising the online ordering platform Spriggy Schools. Please refer to previous communication for online ordering.

This app is designed to allow The Lakes College parents and carers secure access to information about events, bus timetables, photos and daily activities at the College. All College communication is uploaded to the app on a regular basis. For privacy the app is password protected:
Lockers and Timetables – Locker distribution will be emailed to students.
Students are moving to new lockers in 2023 based on their House group rather than the year group.
Student Timetables will be available online via SEQTA by Friday 20 January. There will be some changes to the timing of lunch on Wednesday and Thursday next year to support our involvement in the inaugural NISSA Secondary Sports Competition. Mrs Gregory wrote to families about this earlier in the year, and that correspondence can be seen here.
Student Diaries will be distributed in the first week of Term 1 2023.
Timetables are still being finalised and will be communicated to families on Monday which will include information on where to go on the first day and also what to wear.
