Laptops

At The Lakes College, every Year 4-12 student is provided with their own school-issued laptop and laptop bag, ensuring equal access to the technology and tools needed for learning. Parents and carers are not required to purchase a device, nor can students bring their own. As a proud Microsoft School, we integrate the full Microsoft 365 suite - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more - into our curriculum, equipping students with the skills to succeed in a digital world.

New Year 5-12 students are able to collect their laptop the week before school commences from the IT Office. Please visit the IT Office during the times below to collect laptops:

  • MONDAY 19 JANUARY 12noon - 3:30pm
  • TUESDAY 20 JANUARY 10am - 1pm & 2:30pm - 3:30pm
  • WEDNESDAY 21 JANUARY 8:30am - 12noon & 1:30pm - 3:30pm
  • THURSDAY 22 JANUARY 10am - 3:30pm
  • FRIDAY 23 JANUARY 10am - 2pm

Year 4 students will receive their laptop towards the end of the first week of school as their Orientation session is more involved.

If students are not able to collect their laptop before school starts, students will be given their laptop in the first week of Term 1.

Textbooks & Stationery

All students in Years 7 to 12 are provided with digital access to all required textbooks. Our Box of Books digital platform in collaboration with Officeworks can provide all other purchases for optional print of textbooks and other stationery requirements.

Elective subjects are chosen at the end of each year and students will be notified of their confirmed electives before the end of November. Booklists will need to be ordered before 7 December to ensure delivery before school commences. If orders are placed after this date, the availability of items for back to school delivery may be delayed. If you are unsure of your child's electives please rest assured that elective orders can be placed further down the track.

Your child’s 2026 stationery and resource requirements are visible in the Box of Books Shop. To order your stationery and resource requirements from Box of Books, please
follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Box of Books online shop. Sign in with your email/phone number or create a new parent/carer account.

  2. Add each student – you can either type in their school email or if you are not sure, nominate their school and year group.

  3. Select the stationery items you wish to purchase from the booklist shown. For clarity, it is not necessary to purchase any of the optional text resources as your child’s digital textbooks are fully provided by the College.

  4. Use the checkout to organise postage and payment.

Below is the outline of each year level's requirements:

Should you wish to purchase additional items (e.g. ATAR revision guides for senior subjects or study habits tips and strategies) you can also do this inside the Box of Books shop.

Prep - Year 6 students will receive their bookpacks in the first week of Term 1 (or their first day if commencing later in the year). These are provided by the College as part of the Resource Levy.
