In Mathematics, we encourage students to question things around them and to reach out of their comfort zone.

Students belong in Mathematics because it is an essential life skill, from everyday tasks to Maths specific careers, we aim to build connection and character, instil curiosity and a lifelong love of Maths. In Junior Secondary students learn in a fun and creative way. The ACARA curriculum allows time for hands-on learning and problem-solving which we believe are vital for laying the foundation of skills and knowledge needed for all students to succeed in Mathematics throughout their learning journey. In the Senior years, the opportunity to select a Mathematics subject suited to each student’s future endeavours widens. With an immersion experience in a Mathematics classroom, Lakes Learners become resilient and immerge as confident learners through facing challenging situations, learning to take risks and developing a belief in themselves.
