The Arts

In The Arts, we value the opportunity to engage, inspire and enrich all students, exciting their imaginations and encouraging them to reach their creative and expressive potential.

Students at The Lakes College have a sense of belonging in the Arts as they participate in experiences that augment their social and emotional wellbeing. Across our Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music and Visual Art classrooms students create, explore, and imagine new possibilities as they learn to communicate and share ideas through making and responding.

In the Arts, we believe that student must learn to take creative risks, as they grow in their understanding of self and others. Through The Arts, Lakes Learners become confident, compassionate, and resilient individuals who can think and reflect critically as they grow as performing and visual artists.
